The Steve Mertens Scholarship Program |
The Steve Mertens Scholarship Program was founded in 1999 by a group of visionaries on The Crossroads Board of Directors. The group wanted to start a scholarship program to assist The Crossroads residents and alumni in achieving their lifelong dream of attending college, technical or vocational training. The program is available due to generous donations from individuals and corporations like Signature Technology Group, Inc. Programs like these are an example of the extraordinary commitment of individuals and organizations to the mission of The Crossroads, Inc. and further separate us from the traditional perception of a half way house. Education is a vital and crucial addition to a recipient’s program, strengthening their sobriety and adding to feelings of self-esteem and worth.
